Served with spaghetti, mustard greens, potato salad and dinner rolls.  Dessert was carrot cake. I wanted to shoot all the dishes, but it was already dinner time and I knew that was out of the question. : )

D288: Strawberries

I went to the farmers market today.  Sampled the strawberries and they were so sweet.  I purchased two baskets along with some peaches and cherries.   I ate most of the cherries on the way home and I already  taken a picture of peaches a few weeks ago, so strawberries were the potd.

D286: Gazing out the window

My three year old nephew was at the house today.   Got the camera and decided to take a few pictures of him, but he was not in the mood. All parents know how stubborn 3 year olds can be but I have a lot of patience.    I sat and played with him and his toy animals,   had cookies and juice then we took pictures of elmo.   During this time I was able to take a few good images of him.    The image below was snap while he was staring out the window, at what I don't know what he was looking at but I love the look on his face.   I  had fun.  : )

D284: Goddess

Glass is a hard subject to shoot, at least for me.  The shape of the  bottle was not an easy task and I still did not achieve the image I envisioned.  I have a question for the Photoshop users,  is there a quick way to PS out the stem in the middle of the bottle?  Comments and feedback welcome.

D283: Life Savers

My plan today was to shoot some portraits but the client had to reschedule.   I was somewhat relieved because I was too tired to drive to the shoot location and the temperature today was in the 90's.  This had been a very long week.  I was laying across the bed eating gummy lifesavers thinking of another idea for my potd.   Ding!!!! light bulb came on.     I remember seeing this photo of 50 pieces of pez candy neatly align on a board like checkers.   What made this picture interesting was the photographer stood the candy  up on end.   The  photographer told me it took several hours to line up the candy in rows, no photoshop.   If you never had pez candy, they are no bigger than M&M's.  I wish I had a picture of the image, it was so worth the time and the lighting setup that she use was sweet! (no pun intended)  I didn't have 50 lifesavers but I had enough for a decent image.

D277: Number 3 with a Pepsi

While on my way to drop a friend off at work, we decided to stop at Taco Bell for a bite to eat.  He place one of his tacos on the dash board and I immediately saw my potd.  The background light was harsh due to the setting sun, so I pull the wrapper up to act as a  background.  He order three tacos but the other two were devoured before I could take the shot. Note: This is image is Straight from camera.  I cropped a little off the bottom where the car dashboard was visible.  No post processing.  My goal in taking this shot was learning to use what was available ( food wrapper, dashboard. getting in close).  comments and feedback welcome.
