D208: Spring Flowers

We had nice spring weather here in Cali today.  The weatherman has predicted rain for the next three days, so I decided to go out and photograph flowers today. Unfortunately my allergies were not happy with my choice subject. I couldn't decide on one image, so I posted my favorites from the set.

D202: Don't even think about it

Today, my goal  was to shoot more images for my cloudscape series.  I took the back roads and came across a baby calf nursing with his mom.  I pulled over to take a few shots. As I was shooting pictures of the calf, this bull started walking towards me.  He stopped and sorta glared at me. I guess he was letting me know I was getting too close to his little one.  That's momma cow off to the left.  As you can see, she was headed over to where I was parked too.  I'm glad I was in my car.

While out on my daily walk, I notice this face appearing from behind some broken plaster on this abandon store front.   I'm not sure if it was a mural or a painting, but I thought it was quite interesting and kinda eerie.

D187: Bridge over Sunset's Waters

Today's picture was suppose to be another cloudscape. I saw the clouds off in the distance as I was driving home. I knew where I needed to be to get the picture I had envisioned. I took several shots of the clouds, but I was not satisfied with the results. As I was approaching the on ramp to the freeway headed home, I notice the clouds near the bridge. I knew the sun sets behind the bridge and when it gets to a certain point, it will make a beautiful silhouette and a nice shadow of the bridge pillars. I quickly turn around and found the perfect spot and waited. An hour and a half later, this is what I got. I think it was worth the wait.
